As the Care Women Deserve campaign continues to gain momentum in educating more people about the preventive service available to women with no out-of-pocket costs, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, we are excited to welcome two organizations as supporting partners of our coalition.
Our new partners agree that the women’s preventive services guidelines are key to ensuring women get the care they need — not just when we’re sick, but throughout our lives to help us stay healthy.
HealthyWomen, an independent, nonprofit health information source for women, has been educating and empowering women for nearly 30 years to make informed health choices for themselves and their families. HealthyWomen serves as a preventive health information resource for millions of women.
The National Partnership for Women and Families is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to promoting fairness in the workplace, reproductive health and rights, access to quality, affordable health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family. For more than 40 years, the National Partnership has been working to change the world in way that make life better for women and families.
We are thrilled to have more organizations join our campaign to spread the word that the Affordable Care Act requires most insurance plans to provide coverage for recommended preventive services without copay, coinsurance or deductible that are essential to women’s overall health.
